If you have a positive attitude, high energy and limitless drive, and like to win, we want to talk to you!\nAbout The Role:\nSite Reliability Engineers at Rubrik are systems/software engineers who ensure that Rubrik's infrastructure services run smoothly and have the capacity for future growth.\nWhat you’ll do: \nEnsure we maintain high availability and durability of our databases\nEstablish best practices for internal teams to write performant SQL queries\nPerform periodic database upgrades minimizing downtime for our customers\nDesign, implement and maintain relational database systems for performance and reliability\nManage and run backend systems like Kubernetes, MySQL and everything in between\nDrive reliability, availability and efficiency improvements to Rubrik's Polaris Cloud Platform\nGood mix of software and system engineering skills\nParticipate on-call rotations across continents, using a follow-the-sun model\nWrite and review code, plan and execute upgrades, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug production issues\nWork cross-functionally with various engineering teams\nBuild monitoring tools and automation to increase efficiency of all teams\nGood written and verbal communication skills\nDrive FedRamp Certification process\nGood written and verbal communication skills\nExperience You'll Need:\n2+ years of experience designing and managing relational databases with a focus on performance, scalability, reliability, high-availability, and disaster recovery.\nExperience in database design and architecture supporting large enterprise customers with high SLO and SLA requirements\nExperience operating database layer of a large scale SaaS product\nExperience in one or more of the following: Golang, Python, Java, Scala, C++\nSystematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive\nExpertise in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems\nAbility to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks\nStrong operational experience with Unix/Linux operating systems and networking\nExperience with Google Cloud Platform or other public cloud technologies\nMinimum 1-3 years of experience as a Development, DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer Willing to provide 24/7 coverage\nStrong Documentation skills\nExperience working with multiple departments and divisions within an organization\nStrong understanding of Databases is a definite plus\nExperience leading support personnel\nExperience with FedRAMP certification is strongly desired\nAdditional Requirements:\nDue to the criteria and security levels for Rubrik’s FedRAMP program, this position will require the following: \n U.S. citizenship at the time of hire.\n Residence within the contiguous United States (i.e., the lower 48 states and the District of Columbia); and \n Willingness to undergo a Single Source Background Investigation if required.\nSecurity and Privacy Responsibilities section: \nThis position carries special Security and Privacy Responsibilities for protecting the U.S. Federal Government’s interests:\nKnow, acknowledge, and follow system-specific security policies and procedures;\nProtect data and individual privacy per requirements and regulations;\nPerform ongoing activities in compliance with service and contractual obligations;\nParticipate in role-based training, completing assignments on a timely basis; \nReport security issues promptly, and aid investigation when needed;\nSupport controlled changes and vulnerability remediation activities; and\nWork collaboratively with Information Security in designing, implementing, assessing or enhancing system-specific security and privacy controls. \nPosition Risk Designation section:\nThis position carries duties and responsibilities involving the U.S. Federal Government’s interests.
