We offer professional development, long-term growth opportunities, and the ability to make a visible impactin the communities we serve.\nWhat You’ll Gain:\nA meaningful role building software used by municipalities to manage critical infrastructure\nOpportunities at the intersection of GIS, asset management, civil engineering, and modern software development\nA high-ownership environment where you can shape product direction, improve architecture, and deliver client-focused solutions\nGoals & Responsibilities\nThis position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties and responsibilities:\nDevelop, enhance, and maintain web applications and workflows for AssetAlly\nBuild reliable, maintainable software supporting municipal asset management, field data collection, and reporting\nTranslate client needs into practical technical solutions and troubleshoot complex application issues\nDevelop and maintain databases, improve workflows, and automate processes\nDesign and implement data ingestion and automation tools for analysts\nCollaborate across teams on product improvement and client success\nParticipate in technical planning, testing, release coordination, and support\nStay current with web development, cloud infrastructure, and GIS best practices\nQualifications & Skills\nThe ideal candidate for this position will possess the following education, experience, and abilities:\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)\n3+ years of software development experience, or equivalent demonstrated ability\nProficiency with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and APIs\nExperience with Esri technologies such as ArcGIS Pro, Online, or Enterprise is a plus, but is not required\nFamiliarity with technologies such as AWS, SQL/NoSQL databases, REST APIs, and Python scripting preferred\nUnderstanding of GIS data structures, spatial analysis, and municipal infrastructure workflows is preferred\nAbility to write clean, maintainable, testable code and troubleshoot full-stack issues\nSelf-directed, organized, and an effective communicator capable of working across technical and non-technical teams\nBenefits\nRuekert & Mielke, Inc. is proud to be 100% employee owned.
