Continue developing your career with us and watch your potential grow. \nJob Responsibilities\nMarket Development Manager, Fire Protection Systems\nAs the Market Development Manager for Fire Protection at Ruhrpumpen (RP), you will be responsible for growing sales and market presence for RP’s fire protection pump systems and packaged solutions. You will act as the company’s fire protection expert, supporting the sales force in the field and educating customers, consultants and internal teams on why a complete, listed and approved system is the right choice.\nThis role requires deep technical knowledge of fire protection, with a clear business orientation. You will translate that knowledge into commercial opportunities, working side by side with our external and internal sales engineers.\nMain responsibilities\nAccompany the sales force on customer visits as the fire protection technical expert\nDesign and deliver webinars, courses and training sessions for customers, consultants, EPCs and RP sales teams\nDeliver training that qualifies for annual continuing education hours for attendees\nAnalyze market trends, competitor activity and pricing strategies in fire protection\nIdentify existing and new customers, EPCs and consultants involved in the specification and procurement of fire protection systems\nDevelop market entry strategies for new regions and industries\nBuild and maintain strong relationships at all levels (engineering, procurement, decision-makers and buying influencers)\nConduct high-level technical-commercial presentations\nTransfer market intelligence and technical knowledge to RP’s global sales engineering teams\nEngage with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) at customer sites to support approvals and compliance\nEnsure alignment between technical capability and customer needs\nWork closely with External Sales Engineers, Internal Sales Engineers, Sales Management, Operations, Field Services and Legal\nJob requirements\nDegree in engineering (preferred) or equivalent discipline, with strong business orientation\nCertification or demonstrable, extensive knowledge of NFPA, UL and FM standards\nProven experience with fire protection equipment and in multiple high-engineering industries (not only commercial sales)\nProven experience dealing with AHJs at project sites\nTraining credentials: ability to teach and certify courses that count toward annual training hours for attendees\nExcellent communication skills; able to explain complex topics simply and connect with people at any level of an organization\nStrong relationship-building skills\nAnalytical thinking and problem-solving skills\nMS Office\nAvailability and willingness to travel and be with customers 40% to 50% of the time\nAt Ruhrpumpen, we value every employee, recognizing that each person contributes to our success through their position.
