We currently hire in most U.S. states, with the exception of Hawaii.\nAbout the Role\nThe Provider group is embarking on a critical phase of growth and technical modernization. To guide this evolution, we are hiring a Sr. Staff Software Engineer to serve as the overarching Technical Individual Contributor Leader for the entire Provider organization. This role requires a unique combination of deep technical expertise, architectural foresight, and cross-functional leadership. Operating as a strategic partner to the Senior Director, the incumbent will be responsible for setting the technical roadmap, establishing engineering standards, and driving high-impact initiatives that span all teams within the Provider domain.\nRequired Qualifications\n10+ years of related professional experience. Specifically, full-stack experience building modern database-backed (SQL/NoSQL) web applications and experience with microservice development\n\nProven Technical Leadership: Extensive experience operating as a principal or lead architect for a major product domain or engineering group. With the knowledge and hands-on experience driving all phases of the development lifecycle: planning, specing, execution, and measuring success, post-launch maintenance\n\nDistributed Systems Expertise: Deep knowledge of building high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure. Experience working on highly complex projects with a focus on achieving sustainable results\n\nInfluence Without Authority: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence engineering direction and product strategy across multiple stakeholders. Working with cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical groups\n\nExperience mentoring others, reviewing architectures, and establishing design patterns.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nWhile having the preferred qualifications enhances your candidacy, having all of them is not mandatory. We encourage all interested applicants to apply, even those who may not meet every preferred requirement.\nDomain Knowledge: Background in provider ecosystems, healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7), or complex B2B integration networks is highly desirable but not mandatory.\n\nStart-up experience\n\nExperience developing SaaS applications using the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform\n\nPrevious experience in products with high reliability/accuracy requirements (finance, mission-critical systems, etc.)\n\nExperience with “on-call”, ability to deep dive complex issues and drive them to resolution independently\n\nExperience with NodeJs, Typescript, Kafka\n\nWe're serious about your well-being!
