We currently hire in most U.S. states, with the exception of Hawaii.\nAbout the Role\nAt Rula, maintaining high trust with payers, patients, and providers is the bedrock of accessible mental healthcare. We’re seeking a Staff Software Engineer to step in as the foundational leader of our nascent Provider Onboarding Engineering team within the Provider organization. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the chief architect of our new scope, driving product-based implementations that enable new capabilities for Provider Onboarding across both internal and external-facing users and workflows.\nYou will lead the charge on both product architecture and operational, process-based solutions-building robust custom tools and leveraging top-tier industry solutions to exponentially improve our Provider Onboarding tools across pricing, payments, client panel, and forms. If you are excited to establish a brand-new engineering domain from the ground up, mentor senior engineers, and build scalable systems that directly protect a vital mental health ecosystem, this is your next playground.\nRequired Qualifications\n8+ years of experience\n\n1+ years working on Healthcare or equivalent systems\n\n1+ years experience helping to form a new team from scratch\n\nExperience working on cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical groups\n\nFullstack experience building modern database-backed (sql/no-sql) web applications\n\nExperience with microservice development\n\nExperience mentoring others, reviewing architectures, and establishing design patterns.\n\nExperience driving all phases of the development lifecycle: planning, specing, execution, and measuring success, post-launch maintenance\n\nExperience working on highly complex projects with a focus on achieving sustainable results\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nStart-up experience\n\nExperience developing SaaS applications using the Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud platform\n\nPrevious experience in products with high reliability/accuracy requirements (finance, mission critical systems, etc.)\n\nExperience with “on-call”, ability to deep dive complex issues and drive them to resolution independently\n\nExperience with NodeJs, Typescript, Kafka\n\nWe're serious about your well-being!
