The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, matching, validating and reconciling data to ensure information is accurate and processed correctly.\nThe role is highly manual and requires someone who enjoys working with detailed information, investigating discrepancies and following data through different stages of a process.\nWhat you'll be doing\nManually reviewing, matching and reconciling data within internal systems.\nIdentifying related records and ensuring information is correctly linked.\nInvestigating unmatched, incomplete or inconsistent data.\nCarrying out detailed data checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.\nIdentifying discrepancies and investigating the root cause.\nWorking through data exceptions and outstanding items to ensure they are progressed correctly.\nSupporting the transition to new systems by checking that data has transferred and is processing as expected.\nCarrying out system and process testing where required.\nMaintaining accurate records and clear audit trails.\nLiaising with internal teams and external industry partners to resolve data queries.\nIdentifying recurring issues and highlighting opportunities to improve processes.\nSupporting reporting on workloads, outstanding items, trends and performance.\nManaging high volumes of data while maintaining a strong level of accuracy.\nEssential\nExperience working with high volumes of data in a data, operational or administrative environment.\nStrong experience of manually matching, reconciling and validating data.\nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy.\nAbility to identify and investigate data discrepancies, errors and unmatched records.\nStrong problem-solving and investigative skills, with the ability to follow an issue through to resolution.\nComfortable carrying out detailed and repetitive manual data tasks.\nExperience working across multiple systems and data sources.\nGood Microsoft Excel skills.\nAbility to learn new systems and processes quickly.\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage high-volume workloads and priorities.\nGood communication skills and confidence liaising with internal stakeholders.\nDesirable\nPrevious experience within the energy or utilities sector.\nKnowledge of metering, billing or settlement data/processes.\nExperience in a Data Analyst, Data Quality, Data Reconciliation, Data Administrator or Operations Analyst role.\nExperience supporting a new system implementation, migration or transformation programme.\nExperience with system/UAT testing and validating data following system changes.\nExperience of root-cause analysis and identifying recurring data/process issues.\nUnderstanding of data governance, compliance and audit
