The WC ensures that all works are executed to the highest standards while supporting programme objectives and continuous improvement across the site\nAs Electrical Works Controller, you will:\n* Manage, control and oversee electrical construction activities in line with CDM, procedures, client requirements and site licence conditions.\n* Support the Construction Manager in the safe and effective delivery of construction activities.\n* Develop, review and support approval of Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and manage associated changes.\n* Lead effective task start-ups and pre-job briefings, ensuring teams understand the scope, risks and controls.\n* Promote a strong health and safety culture and ensure accidents, incidents and near misses are reported appropriately.\n* Liaise with key client stakeholders, including Health, Protection & Safety (HP&S).\n* Verify that personnel are Suitably Qualified and Experienced Persons (SQEP) and identify any competency, training or resource gaps.\n* Monitor construction progress against programme milestones and identify and mitigate delivery risks.\n* Work closely with Project Engineers and Task Order teams to resolve technical, resource, equipment and material issues.\n* Contribute to RFQ submissions, constructability reviews, HAZOPs, HAZCONs, progress meetings and task-specific briefings.\n* Support Post Job Reviews and ensure lessons learned are captured and applied to future projects.\n* Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.\n* Maintain accurate site documentation to support Lifetime Records (LTRs), quality assurance, traceability and final handover.\nQualifications/Experience Required\nEssential Qualifications\n* IOSH Managing Safely or an equivalent recognised health and safety qualification.\n* NVQ Level 5 or equivalent.\n* CSCS Manager Health & Safety Test (Black Card).\n* Relevant electrical discipline qualification.\n* Relevant management and supervision training and experience.\nExperience & Competence\nYou will need:\n* A minimum of 5 years' experience working on the Sellafield site or within a comparable highly regulated environment.\n* Demonstrable technical knowledge within a relevant construction or engineering discipline.\n* Proven experience delivering, supervising and coordinating complex construction activities.\n* A strong understanding of nuclear safety culture, regulatory compliance and CDM requirements.\n* Previous industrial experience, ideally within nuclear, defence or another high-hazard environment.\nUK National Security Vetting Status - Ability to gain SC Clearance\nInterested in this position? please click \"apply now\"\nWe try to respond to all applicants, but sometimes this is not possible due to high volumes of applications; if you have not heard from us within 14 days, regrettably it means you have been unsuccessful on this occasion.\nCompany information: \nThis contract is being advertised by Rullion Ltd.\nSince 1978, Rullion has been securing exceptional candidates for a range of clients; from large well-known brands, to SMEs and start-ups.
