Based in Oxfordshire, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge medical imaging technology that improves access to healthcare worldwide.\nAs a Procurement Engineer, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of globally sourced components, driving long-term sourcing strategies and ensuring a resilient and cost-effective supply chain. This role offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to influence strategic sourcing decisions within a collaborative, international environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nAct as a technical interface between Procurement, R&D, and suppliers, supporting cost analysis throughout the product lifecycle\nDrive cost optimisation initiatives including:Cost Value Engineering (CVE)\nShould-cost modelling\nBenchmarking and target costing\n\nSupport product development by providing cost estimates and manufacturing recommendations\nPartner with Procurement teams during supplier negotiations through data-driven insights\nDevelop and standardise cost optimisation methodologies and tools\nContribute to procurement transformation initiatives and digitalisation programmes\nCollaborate with global stakeholders across the UK, Germany, China, and international supplier base\nYour Experience & Qualifications\nDegree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline\nProven experience in engineering and/or procurement with strong supplier engagement\nStrong technical knowledge of electro-mechanical components and manufacturing processes such as:Sheet metal fabrication\nMachining and casting\nComposite structures\nMechanical assemblies and cable assemblies\n\nDemonstrated expertise in cost analysis, cost structures, and value engineering\nSkills & Attributes\nStrong analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex problems\nExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills\nConfident working in cross-functional and international teams\nStrong negotiation and influencing capabilities\nProactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently\nWillingness to travel internationally (up to 20%)\nAbout the Company\nYou'll be joining a global leader in healthcare technology, helping to shape the future of medical imaging.
