You will lead a cross-discipline Project Controls team on medium-scale projects, or play a key part in a team on larger, more complex programmes. You will define scope, build robust baselines, integrate cost, risk and schedule, and turn performance data into insight that shapes delivery decisions. You will also establish governance, influence stakeholders, and mentor colleagues as your own leadership grows. Exposure to a range of sectors and clients, backed by a collaborative professional community.\nResponsibilities\nLead a cross-discipline Project Controls team on medium-risk, medium-value projects, or be a team member on higher-risk, higher-value programmes.\n\nDefine scope (exclusions, assumptions, interfaces, dependencies) and coordinate decomposition into a Work Breakdown Structure.\n\nEstablish a robust Performance Measurement Baseline with the Integrated Project Team and manage change control.\n\nWork with suppliers to integrate and analyse performance data against contractual Project Controls requirements.\n\nEnsure alignment of scope, cost, risk and schedule.\n\nAnalyse performance data, including Earned Value Management, to enable informed decisions.\n\nWork with Finance on Cost and Cash Estimate to Complete and Estimate At Complete profiles.\n\nEnsure effective identification, quantification, treatment and oversight of project risk.\n\nSupport Project Managers in deploying resources against resource-loaded schedules.\n\nEstablish structured, auditable governance and assure the quality and integrity of team output.\n\nBuild relationships to support delivery recovery planning and communicate performance to influence stakeholders.\n\nPromote lessons learned, drive process improvement, and mentor and coach team members.\n\nRequirements\nProven delivery in highly regulated sectors such as defence or infrastructure.\n\nProject Controls experience across a significant proportion of the project lifecycle.\n\nExperience in two or more disciplines (planning and scheduling, cost estimation, cost control, risk management, performance reporting) and associated tools.\n\nGood understanding of how integrated Project Controls disciplines operate.\n\nProactive, curious, comfortable with ambiguity; able to make risk-based decisions and adapt leadership style.\n\nStrong communication and influencing skills.\n\nDegree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience) and membership of a body such as APM or PMI.\n\nCompetence in required software; desire to work across sectors and clients.\n\nAbility to gain BPSS/SC clearance.\n\nAdvertised by Rullion Ltd, a family-owned recruiter since 1978, committed to equal opportunities.
