This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical transmission infrastructure that supports the integration of renewable energy into the grid.\nAs a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering high-voltage transmission equipment work packages, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.\nThe Role\nReporting to the Project Manager or Project Director, you will lead the engineering delivery of transmission equipment packages across large-scale power transmission projects. You will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout design, manufacture, testing, installation, and commissioning phases.\nThis role offers a varied working environment, with a combination of office-based engineering, supplier and client visits, and site-based activities during installation and commissioning phases.\nKey Responsibilities\nAccountable for the successful delivery of transmission equipment project scope, ensuring compliance with budget, schedule, quality, safety, and performance targets.\nCoordinate engineering, design, manufacturing, testing, and installation activities to deliver robust and reliable electrical solutions.\nManage project-related primary and auxiliary electrical systems from tender stage through to project completion.\nProvide technical leadership and coordination across engineering disciplines, project management teams, and specialist stakeholders.\nOversee project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, cost management, quality control, and risk management.\nManage subcontract packages, including supplier coordination and performance monitoring.\nProduce regular project reports and ensure effective information management throughout the project lifecycle.\nLead and participate in design, process, and project review meetings.\nSupport commissioning and handover activities as required.\nTypical Equipment & Systems Experience\nCandidates should have proven experience delivering some or all of the following:\nGIS / HIS Switchgear and Busbar Systems\nSupergrid Transformers\nShunt Reactors\nSTATCOM / SVC Systems\nHarmonic Filters\nDisconnectors and Earth Switches\nControl & Protection Systems\nLV AC Systems\nLV DC Systems\nMetering Systems\nSCADA Systems\nTelephony and Security Systems\nSkills & Experience\nDegree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline.\nProven experience delivering high-voltage primary and secondary transmission equipment packages.\nApproximately 5+ years' experience within electrical transmission, power systems, or utility infrastructure projects.\nStrong understanding of HV transmission equipment and auxiliary systems.\nExperience managing engineering work packages throughout the full project lifecycle.\nDemonstrable project management and stakeholder management experience.\nStrong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, schedules, risks, and resources.\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications and project management tools.\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across multidisciplinary and international teams.\nWillingness to travel within the UK and internationally when required.\nWhat's on Offer?\n£450 -
