We take pride in our in-house training and apprenticeship programs.\nHEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC\nRummel Construction, Inc. is seeking Heavy Equipment Mechanic.\nWe own and operate one of the largest fleets of yellow iron in the state and we've got the work to keep you busy. If you have the passion to work on scrapers, dozers, motor graders and excavators, and want to keep working on them, this is the spot for you.\nYou'll be working with scores of experienced employees who put safety first and work together to meet the day's goals. We typically work Monday-Friday, though some project schedules may require WEEKEND work.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE\n2+ Years Experience repairing CAT, John Deere, or other manufactured heavy equipment\nAn acceptable driving record and the ability to obtain a DOT Med Card\nBasic mechanic experience utilizing hand tools (wrenches, sockets, etc.) to complete repairs\nAbility to lift, load, and unload up to 50 lbs\nFollow safety precautions while repairing and diagnosing machines\nAbility to walk, sit, squat, stand, or bend for extended periods\nAbility to enter and exit equipment using 3 points of contact\nKnowledge of completing inspection logs, electronic driver logs, and DOT compliance\nExperience with welding and grinding machines\nWHY WORK FOR RUMMEL?\nWe offer an excellent work environment including a competitive salary, subsidized health insurance, paid-time off, paid holidays, 401k plan, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and voluntary dental and supplemental benefits.
