Come join our team!\nFront Load Drivers are responsible for servicing commercial customers on an assigned route(s) with the collection and hauling of waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant. Drivers will dump front-load containers utilizing the forks of the truck but may be required to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings.\nResponsibilities of Position:\nOperate trucks in a safe manner to provide trash or recycling removal services to customers on assigned route(s) and/or work orders by emptying trash/recycling containers into trucks and hauling them to a disposal site\nRoutinely enter/exit the truck approximately 100-150 times per day, depending on the assigned route\nOpen and secure service gates while servicing customers\nPull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings as needed\nMaintain and update route & driver log sheets\nConduct daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete DVIR logs\nProfessionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service\nMaintain cleanliness of assigned truck\nVisually inspect front load containers to ensure safe dumping procedures\nClean up areas located around containers when servicing customers as needed\nClean waste from the packer blade and truck body while following proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures\nPerform other duties as assigned\nSupervisory Responsibility:\nThis position will not manage employees\nSkills & Abilities Needed for Position:\nAbility to read and understand a map and/or navigation system\nExcellent truck driving/maneuvering skills\nGood written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers\nMust be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training\nExperience & Knowledge Needed for Position:\nGeneral knowledge of truck mechanics preferred\n1-2 years CDL truck driving experience preferred\nPrevious Front Load truck driving experience preferred\nWaste industry experience, a plus\nPhysical Requirements in a Regular Workday:\nOccasionally lifting/carrying a max of 50 lbs; rarely up to 100 lbs\nFrequently pushing/pulling a max of 50 lbs; occasionally up to 100 lbs\nContinuously working outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions\nContinuously working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter\nFrequentlystooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling\nFrequentlyclimbing and/or balancing\nFrequentlysitting/standing/walking\nAdditional Working Conditions/Aspects:\nMust have at least a valid Class B CDL\nMust have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire\nMust be at least 19 years of age\nNo more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years\nMust not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years\nPossible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas\nExposure to residential and commercial waste\nAbility to travel between offices, as required\nAbility to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed\nAbility to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays\nLegally eligible to work in the United States\nValid driver’s license (if applicable)\nMust successfully complete pre-employment testing\nMust be able to read and speak the English language\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature, complexity, and level of work to be performed by employees assigned to this position and is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and/or skills required.
