Come join our team!\nInventory Specialists are responsible for ensuring the availability of parts for the maintenance department (Corporate Inventory Specialists are responsible for multiple departments) in a cost-effective manner, while maintaining compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies and procedures. This position maintains records on a computerized system and is responsible for maintaining proper inventory to ensure demands are met in the most efficient manner possible.\nResponsibilities of Position:\nIssue necessary replacement parts to mechanics\nReceive and unpack parts, verifying accuracy of shipment from vendor including parts' numbers, quantities, and pricing\nReceive, tag, stock, and disburse parts to technicians or outlying locations according to policies/procedures\nPrepare purchase orders for purchases of parts and equipment\nPerform weekly cycle counts and conduct physical inventory audits\nInvestigate and reconcile inventory reports\nPrepare and process warranty claims\nReturn parts and cores according to policy and procedure and track credits accordingly\nComplete inventory information and present it to management for efficient decision-making, which may involve restocking\nProcess and maintain outbound deliveries electronically\nDrive a company vehicle on daily/weekly routes to outlying locations as needed\nMaintain a professional work atmosphere by performing and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers and management\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of the stock room; perform routine housekeeping duties in the parts room, shop, and work area\n**Corporate Inventory Specialists will process transfer purchase orders issuing necessary replacement parts to outlying locations relieving them from main inventory\nPerform other duties as assigned\nSupervisory Responsibility:\nThis position will not manage employees\nSkills & Abilities Needed for Position:\nIntermediate Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, Excel (including statistics and pivot tables a plus), & Word\nAbility to learn and maintain a solid understanding of inventory-related best practices\nAbility to effectively utilize parts manuals and manufacturer build sheets\nComputer proficiency with good data-entry skills\nExperience & Knowledge Needed for Position:\nHeavy-duty truck parts experience preferred\n1-2 years office experience preferred\nBasic knowledge of vehicle parts, maintenance, and repair preferred\n**Corporate Role- It is preferred to have a valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain one within the first 90 days of employment\nPhysical Requirements in a Regular Workday:\nFrequently lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 20 lbs\nOccasionallylifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 35 lbs\nRarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 75 lbs\nOccasionallyworking outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions\nContinuously working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter\nOccasionally stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling\nRarely climbing and/or balancing\nFrequentlysitting/standing/walking\nAdditional Working Conditions/Aspects:\nNo more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years\nMust not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years\nPossible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas\nExposure to residential and commercial waste\nAbility to travel between offices, as required\nAbility to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed\nAbility to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays\nLegally eligible to work in the United States\nValid driver’s license (if applicable)\nMust successfully complete pre-employment testing\nMust be able to read and speak the English language\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature, complexity, and level of work to be performed by employees assigned to this position and is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and/or skills required.
