Come join our team!\nVehicle Preventive Maintenance (PM) Technicians are responsible for performing preventive maintenance on vehicle fleet including but not limited to performing minor repairs, adjustments to various operating systems on vehicles, equipment, or related components.\nResponsibilities of Position:\nPerform preventive maintenance of fleet vehicles in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies\nInspect, lubricate, and service all fleet vehicles per company maintenance schedules\nGrease, oil and lubricate components during preventive maintenance service\nCheck, fill, and/or change appropriate fluids and filters for all fleet vehicles\nInspect vehicle support systems, such as electrical, air, and brake systems\nPerform minor repairs and adjustments to various operating systems on the vehicles, equipment, or related components\nAssist senior experienced technicians with repairs, maintenance assignments, and adjustments\nIdentify and repair or report worn or failed components, leaks, etc.\nPerform routine housekeeping duties related tools, materials, shop, and work areas\nPerform required administrative duties when necessary, such as cycle counts, parts requisitions, warranties, etc.\nEnsure all safety devices on vehicles are in good working order\nAssist in other areas of the vehicle maintenance shop as needed\nMaintain accurate records (time, maintenance orders and parts usage) on computer/tablet\nPerform other duties as assigned\nSupervisory Responsibility:\nThis position will not manage employees\nSkills & Abilities Needed for Position:\nMechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair\nFamiliarity with the use of computers, repair manuals, wiring (electrical) diagrams and schematics necessary to troubleshoot or repair vehicle or component failure\nAbility to safely drive vehicles in and out of service area\nGood written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers\nMust possess necessary tools to perform assigned tasks\nExperience & Knowledge Needed for Position:\n1-2 years performing repair and maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and related components is preferred\nExperience with diesel powered vehicles preferred\nGeneral knowledge of truck components and systems\nKnowledge and understanding of Lock/Tag Out procedures or the ability the learn those procedures\nPhysical Requirements in a Regular Workday:\nFrequently lifting/carrying a max of 20 lbs\nOccasionallylifting/carrying a max of 75 lbs\nRarely lifting/carrying a max of 100 lbs\nFrequentlypushing/pulling a max of 50 lbs\nRarely pushing/pulling a max of 100 lbs\nFrequentlyworking outside\nContinuously working in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions\nContinuously working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter\nFrequentlystooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling\nOccasionally climbing and/or balancing\nRarelysitting\nContinuously standing/walking\nAdditional Working Conditions/Aspects:\nPossible exposure to high traffic conditions and/or tight driving areas\nExposure to residential and commercial waste\nAbility to travel between offices, as required\nAbility to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed\nAbility to work overtime, weekends, and/or holidays\nLegally eligible to work in the United States\nValid driver’s license (if applicable)\nMust successfully complete pre-employment testing\nMust be able to read and speak the English language\nThis job description is intended to describe the general nature, complexity, and level of work to be performed by employees assigned to this position and is not to be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties, and/or skills required.
