If you are driven to do the same, we'd love to hear from you.\nAbout the role\nWe’re looking for a Product Engineer to join our team and help us build cutting-edge, AI-powered video creation and collaboration tools. Rather than specialists, we’re seeking curiosity-driven engineers who are thoughtful problem solvers and thrive in fast-paced, high-ownership environments. Our engineering team is highly collaborative and works on a wide variety of exciting challenges, including developing new interfaces for AI content creation, building LLM-powered features and conversational experiences, and deploying cutting-edge computer vision and generative models to production.\nA peek at our technical stack\nThe rich UI of our generative AI tools is powered by TypeScript and React with MediaBunny driving in-browser media and React Flow powering our node-based creative workflows. Our API endpoints for user and media management are written in TypeScript and Node.js and deployed as containerized services on AWS ECS Fargate. We leverage AI APIs to power advanced generative capabilities.\nWhat you’ll do\nCreate rich multimedia interfaces using the cutting-edge of the latest AI video generation models Gen-4.5 and Aleph 2.0\n\nBuild end-to-end full-stack AI-powered product features - designing and developing both frontend experiences and backend systems, including authoring server-side processes and APIs that power our generative AI tools\n\nDesign and implement LLM-powered features and conversational interfaces\n\nPartner with a world-class engineering team pushing the boundaries of creativity and content creation on the browser\n\nTake on new challenges across the Frontend stack to implement product features for Runway’s machine learning-based generative AI tools\n\nImprove the performance, reliability, and code quality of our codebases\n\nWhat you’ll need\n5+ years of industry experience in a software engineering role, ideally full-stack focused\n\nDemonstrated fluency in one or more programming languages, including but not limited to JavaScript/TypeScript\n\nExperience building with third-party AI APIs (e.g., chatbots, LLM integrations)\n\nExperience in architecting production-ready systems and familiarity with debugging and profiling tools\n\nAbility to rapidly prototype solutions and iterate on them with tight product deadlines\n\nHumility and open-mindedness; at Runway, we love to learn from one another\n\nRunway strives to recruit and retain exceptional talent from diverse backgrounds while ensuring pay equity for our team.
