Our team comes from the best companies in Silicon Valley and Wall Street.\nOverview\nRole: Software Engineer\nTeam: Data Platform\nType: Individual Contributor\nLevel: Mid-level (3-6 years of experience)\nCompensation: $175k-225k salary + 0.5%-1% equity, depending on experience\nLocation: Hybrid in NYC\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a software engineer on the data platform, your responsibilities will include:\nBuilding our core data systems and API\n\nCollaborating with product engineers to ship new features\n\nIncreasing team productivity by improving the development lifecycle\n\nSince we’re a startup, in addition to the above, you’ll have the chance to be involved in other areas of the business like product, growth, recruiting, and fundraising.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nNone of these are strict requirements-we believe great candidates can come from many different backgrounds.\n3+ years of experience engineering data systems with technologies like Spark, Beam, or Flink\n\nStrong experience in relational database schema design\n\nExperience with cloud infrastructure DevOps\n\nExcellent communication ability\n\nStrong sense of ownership and craftsmanship\n\nCan move quickly and accurately under conditions of uncertainty without supervision\n\nBonus points if you have previous blockchain data, early-stage startup, or finance experience!\nInterview Process\nThe first step is meeting Charlie, our CTO. He’ll ask in-depth questions about your work history, as well as give you an overview of our company and culture.\n\nThe next step is a technical take-home assignment where you’ll solve a problem similar to the ones we face every day.\n\nAfter the take-home, you’ll meet us on-site to whiteboard a system design problem, discuss how you think about engineering management and processes, and enjoy a delicious lunch with the team!\n\nFinally, we like to do a paid trial run, where you’ll be working with us over a weekend or part-time during the week.
