KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nSafety, Compliance & Standards\n· Drive behavioural-based safety across extrusion operations, ensuring full compliance with HSE, engineering, and legislative standards.\n· ensuring actions are completed and lessons learned embedded.\n· Conduct regular safety inspections across extrusion and materials handling areas.\n· Ensure operational compliance with applicable ISO standards and internal procedures.\nExtrusion Operations & Performance\n· Deliver daily extrusion output in line with the agreed production plan, quality standards, and customer demand.\n· Lead daily and weekly performance reviews, ensuring key operational metrics are visible, understood, and acted upon.\n· Own operational Tier 1 / Tier 2 reviews, ensuring problem-solving is driven at the appropriate level.\n· Monitor production performance indicators including schedule adherence, output, machine utilisation, waste, and right-first-time.\n· Support preventative maintenance and breakdown response activities, escalating risks where required.\nProduction Planning, Materials & Warehouse Control\n· Oversee production planning activities to ensure plans are aligned to forecast demand and operational capability.\n· Ensure availability and control of raw materials to support uninterrupted extrusion output.\n· Oversee finished goods storage and dispatch readiness, maintaining stock levels in line with targets.\n· Ensure accurate administration of production and inventory transactions within the ERP system.\n· Liaise with third-party logistics and warehouse partners to manage inbound and outbound material flows effectively.\n· Review and track planning and warehouse KPIs to support operational delivery and stock accuracy.\nPeople Leadership & Engagement\n· Lead, manage, and develop extrusion and associated planning / warehouse teams.\n· Set clear expectations and objectives aligned to operational priorities.\n· Carry out performance reviews, one-to-one meetings, coaching, and development discussions.\n· Manage attendance, holidays, and absence in line with company policy.\n· Support disciplinary and grievance processes where required, in line with established procedures.\nContinuous Improvement & Change\n· Identify and implement operational improvement opportunities focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.\n· Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring ideas are effectively reviewed and implemented.\n· Contribute to the implementation of new systems, processes, and ways of working that improve extrusion performance.\nUse data and root-cause analysis to identify trends and implement corrective actions.\n\nRequirements\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERTISE\n\n· Demonstrated leadership in managing and developing diverse teams within a manufacturing environment.\n· Ability to manage workforce planning and resource planning to ensure operational excellence and support succession planning initiatives.\n· Extensive experience in extrusion operations, with deep technical expertise in mechanical and/or electrical fault diagnosis and resolution.\n· Ability to collaborate and lead, fostering a high-performance and continuous improvement culture.\n· Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles as applied to extrusion processes.\n· Knowledge of HSE standards and engineering compliance procedures, with a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation.\n· Ability to make decisions, and take accountability for site-wide operational and business outcomes.\nREQUIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION\n· Extensive Extrusion
