Here’s what this looks like:\nYou push the boundaries of what’s possible\nPeople know they can rely on you to follow through on your commitments\nYou believe that when a group of people come together, they can achieve more than any one person could alone\n\nIf this sounds like you and you’re ready to join an award-winning organization and work alongside renowned technical and exceptionally innovative colleagues, RWDI is the place for you.\nKey Responsibilities\nRWDI is hiring a Junior Scientist/Engineer/EIT for the Exhaust Dispersion & Design team in the Guelph office.\nThis entry-level role includes but is not limited to:\nPlan and coordinate all technical aspects of assigned projects\nSolving challenging air quality design problems aimed at helping our clients design their buildings to enhance safety and comfort\nUse, design, and maintain specialized desktop and physical (wind tunnel) dispersion modelling tools, conduct data analysis, and produce documentation that supports our clients’ design goals\nConsulting with engineers and architects to answer technical questions\nWriting technical project reports that present methodology, results and recommendations\nParticipate in technical development initiatives to advance our tools and knowledge\nWork under the general supervision of senior staff with considerable latitude for the exercise of independent judgment\n\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nWe are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications:\nKeen interest in air quality issues and building design\nCombination of an undergraduate education and experience in a science or engineering discipline with an environmental, mechanical, or chemical focus\nKnowledge of building science and building mechanical systems\nExperience with physical and/or numerical exhaust dispersion modelling is a significant asset\nStrong computational skills, high-level Microsoft Excel capabilities\nDemonstrated initiative, independent problem-solving methods/capabilities, exceptional coordination and communication skills\nProven accountability and ownership mindset with a team-focused attitude\nAn ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment with minimal supervision while multitasking and meeting deadlines\nAn aptitude for working in a highly collaborative, team environment\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nCreative problem-solving skills and a high level of self-motivation\n\nJob Benefits\n What We Offer:\nAn opportunity to redefine possible\nSalary range: $62,000.00 - $75,000.00 (based on experience)\nGroup health benefits\nProactive and ongoing training, education, and a Learning Spending Account\nFitness Spending Account\nAn abundance of career paths and opportunities to advance\n\nPlease submit your cover letter and resume.\n\nAdditional Documents: If you're a recent graduate, we encourage you to include your academic transcript to help us better understand your educational background.
