This is a unique opportunity to combine technical excellence, team leadership, and business development skills. As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing holistic consulting services, working collaboratively and seamlessly with experts from other environmental and climatic disciplines within RWDI.\nKey Responsibilities\n The role includes but is not limited to:\n\nConducting air quality assessments for a range of sectors (industry, buildings, infrastructure and transport)\n\nConsulting with and answering technical questions from clients, project managers, and colleagues\n\nPlanning and coordinating technical aspects of projects\n\nSupervising and assigning data collection, modelling, post-processing, analysis, interpretation, and documentation of technical results\n\nWriting technical reports\n\nAssisting with the preparation of proposals\n\nAssisting in business development initiatives to support the air quality team\n\nTaking a lead technical role in internal and external project teams to ensure technical excellence and quality of analysis and reporting\n\nProviding technical leadership to improve technical capability and capacity\n\nContributing to RWDI’s global air quality practice initiatives and strategies, and sharing experiences and knowledge with internationally based colleagues\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\n We are accepting applications from candidates with the following experience:\n\nBachelor’s degree in applicable engineering or science disciplines\n\nProven expertise in air quality dispersion modelling (including CALPUFF and AERMOD; GRAL an asset) and meteorological modelling (including TAPM and CALMET; WRF an asset)\n\nFull understanding of the current regulatory/planning framework/technical guidance for air quality assessments\n\nDemonstrated experience in leading air quality projects\n\nThorough knowledge of a variety of engineering analytical tools, GIS (QGIIS), experience of ERP systems, and MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint\n\nProven ability to act as the technical liaison between internal project teams, external clients, and regulators\n\nCandidates should also possess:\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\n\nStrong people and team skills\n\nProven organisational capability, decision making and coordination skills while working on a number of projects\n\nDemonstrated initiative, independent problem-solving methods/capabilities\n\nDemonstrated leadership/mentoring success\n\nAn eye for detail and an innate desire to get things right\n\nPersistence to see a job through to conclusion\n\nAptitude for practical problem-solving and shrewd judgement\n\nDrive to continuously improve processes and enhance efficiency\n\nAptitude for creating, and contributing to, technical innovation\n\nAbility to travel occasionally\nExperience in the following areas would be considered an asset:\n\nPost-graduate degree or doctorate in subjects relevant to the role\n\nWorking knowledge of programming, for example Python, R, Linux\n\nProfessional qualification (e.g. CAQP, CPeng,..)\n\nMembership and participation in air quality associations (e.g. CASANZ) and conferences\nJob Benefits\n What We Offer:\n\nAn opportunity to redefine possible\n\nWork with a “Top Employer”\n\nSalary range commensurate with experience\n\nFlexible work setting\n\nProactive and ongoing training, education, and learning opportunities\n\nHealth and Wellbeing Allowance Reimbursement (professional subscriptions/fitness equipment)\n\nAn abundance of career paths and opportunities to advance\n\nIf you’re interested in learning more about our company culture, please visit our LinkedIn Life Page.\n\nThank you in advance for your application.
