Competency development, best practice sharing and standardization in the respective discipline “EC&I” will be a key task of this role combined with establishing an internal and external network influencing the industry and serving as external representation for RWE Offshore Wind.\nAbout the role\nServe as the global technical authority for EC&I, providing key recommendations and managing escalations with a strong business and stakeholder focus.\nAdvise top management on all relevant EC&I technical decisions, including those of strategic importance.\nEstablish and approve global EC&I technical standards, specifications and procedures aligned with safety and business needs.\nDrive best-practice sharing and a consistent approach across engineering teams to optimise LCoE.\nChampion state-of-the-art EC&I solutions and innovation across the business.Assess engineers’ technical readiness for progression through the Technical Career Path (TCP) and own its EC&I-specific requirements.\nInfluence industry trends and standards to support the company’s strategic and commercial interests.\nAct as an ambassador for the company’s engineering excellence with partners, the supply chain, regulators and standards bodies.\nJob requirements and experience\nMaster’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree combined with completed vocational training, in EC&I or a related discipline.\nExtensive experience in the relevant technical discipline, ideally including the planning and delivery of complex projects.\nStrategic understanding of the offshore wind business and EC&I technology developments, with the ability to drive performance and business growth.\nRecognised subject-matter expertise in current and emerging technologies, external regulations and industry best practices, combined with strong complex problem-solving skills.\nProven ability to lead, inspire and delegate effectively, develop others and guide teams through change.\nCollaborative and effective communicator, able to work globally across functions and engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders.\nOpen, self-reflective and improvement-focused mindset, with a pragmatic, hands-on and fact-based approach.\nBusiness-fluent English; additional languages are advantageous, together with flexibility and willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis.\nAn offer of employment in this role may require holding active or ability to pass National Security vetting to SC level.
