The role requires coordination with suppliers, negotiation, and supporting business needs with the broader procurement strategy.\nRole Responsibilities:\nAct as a commercial lead on highly complex and high value procurement packages, including contracts for Grid Components\nDesign and implement procurement strategies that balance competitive pricing, supplier risk management, and delivery certainty for large-scale renewable energy projects\nLead negotiations with Tier 1 Suppliers on multimillion-dollar agreements, securing favorable outcomes on warranties, performance obligations, escalation clauses, and change order management\nOversee preparation of advanced bid analyses, ensuring supplier proposals are levelized across cost, scope, technical compliance, and risk allocation to support transparent decision-making\nDraft comprehensive award recommendation documents for executive approval, summarizing procurement strategy, supplier evaluation outcomes, and contract terms\nProvide expert commercial guidance to internal stakeholders, advising Development, Construction, and Finance teams on contract structures, market pricing trends, and supply chain risks\nManage contract execution and administration for critical-path agreements, ensuring all contractual obligations, milestone payments, and submittal requirements are met\nProactively identify procurement risks across multiple projects, including supply bottlenecks, labor shortages, and commodity price fluctuations, and propose mitigation strategies\nServe as escalation point for supplier disputes, working with Legal and project teams to resolve contractual disagreements and maintain constructive supplier relationships\nContribute to portfolio-level planning by forecasting procurement timelines, supplier capacity needs, and cost implications across the regional project pipeline\nMonitor market intelligence on EPC construction services, advising internal stakeholders on competitive positioning, supplier performance, and emerging trends\nJob Requirements and Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree\nMinimum 7 years of procurement experience\nStrong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships\nDemonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space\nExcellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams\nStrong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines\nStrong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables\nAbility to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team\nMotivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities\nProven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds\nResponds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable\nIs detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts\nAbility to present and communicate effectively to senior level management.\nWork Environment:\nThis position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWEA offices and field locations\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations.
