This job also maintains accountability and readiness of tools, equipment, and vehicles; provides technical guidance to the O&M team, maintains records of service activities; and helps maintain the work ethic and culture of the organization.\nRole Responsibilities:\nAssure that all activities are performed in a safe manner consistent with policies and procedures established for the wind farm site. This includes wearing essential safety equipment, including a personal fall arrest system, as well as identifying potential hazards on the job. \nPass physical fitness tests required to maintain Global Wind Organization Certification while keeping one’s body weight under 270lbs.\nClimb wind towers daily, and access wind turbines to perform maintenance tasks\nLift, carry, and transport essential equipment, tools, and materials to job site\nMonitor the activities of maintenance contractors and ensure corrective actions when appropriate\nLead and/or conduct acceptance and performance tests on systems and equipment following planned maintenance or outages\nPerform safety and other wind farm related tasks when assigned and fill in as back up to personnel at other RWE sites when necessary\nPerform turbine maintenance including services, major component, generator bearing, pitch ram, gearbox HSS/IMS, and shaft bearing exchange work. Additionally, perform software updates and troubleshooting as required.\nBe willing to travel up to 50% of the time\nOther duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager\nJob Requirements and Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required\nAssociate degree in Wind School and/or Mechanical degree preferred\nGlobal Wind Organization Certificate preferred\nMinimum 5 years of experience in Wind, Solar, and BESS\nAlternatively 2 year or 4 year college degree from an accredited school (other than correspondence or on-line) in a technical science like engineering, physics, power, or closely similar; current journeyman or master electrician license\nUnrestricted driver license in good standing\nWilling to relocate to within 1 hour drive of site\nAbility to push/pull/lift tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.\nAbility to work safely in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, etc.)\nAbility to walk, climb, and stand extensively during the work day\nKnowledge of and experience with the use of hand and power tools\nKnowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures\nAbility to work within tight deadlines\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nAbility and willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned \nStrong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships\nDemonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space\nExcellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams\nStrong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines\nStrong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables\nAbility to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team\nMotivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities\nProven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds\nResponds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable\nIs detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
