The daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, coordinating transportation, booking domestic & international courier shipments, creating customs facing shipping paperwork, picking and packing goods and working with our preferred freight vendors to negotiate the best value quotes for all import/export shipments required globally.\nThe ideal candidate will have experience using computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, as well as working with project management tools & financial systems. Act as a liaison and administrative support between departments in all RWS Global entities, as well as clients, vendors, and carriers.\nResearching, validating, and applying UK HS commodity codes to procurement sheets to ensure accurate customs documentation\nCreating customs facing shipping paperwork known as Commercial invoices & delivery notes for all RWS Global entity shipments.\nSupport the Production Lead, Warehouse Logistics with picking, packing and dispatch operations at Unit 100 during periods of increased workload or where operational requirements dictate.\nSole cover for operational warehouse activities usually executed by Production Lead, Warehouse Logistics at Unit 100 during annual leave and/or absence.\nWorking closely with our RWS Global warehouse sites (Unit’s 84 & 100) as well as the wider Procurement team on a daily basis\nRequesting & negotiating quotes from our preferred freight vendors for review by the Sr. Manager, Logistics and/or Project Manager\nCreating Purchase Orders in our finance system (NetSuite)\nUsing our Project management system (Wrike) for all project related internal communications & operations\nAssisting the Sr Manager, Logistics with daily administrative operations\nQualifications & Skills:\nExcellent professional verbal & written communication skills\nPositive & polite telephone manner\nMicrosoft programmes such as Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word\nHighly organised & exceptional attention to detail\nReliable\nAbility to work effectively as an individual and as part of the team\nThe ability to work under pressure and prioritise the workload\nExperience\nWarehouse experience desirable\nGeneral understanding of Imports & Exports for the UK, USA & China\nKnowledge in systems such as Wrike & NetSuite desired but not essential as training will be provided.\nWork experience in a similar role desirable but not essential as training will be provided.\nDriving license & own transport -
