For more information, visit rwsglobal.com.\nJOB OVERVIEW\nAs a Technical Director for our Land Production team, your role is dynamic and requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for creating immersive and unforgettable experiences for our clients. Reporting to the Director, Technical Implementation, this role is classified as mobile and will have primary responsibility for Legoland Florida (LLFR), focused on serving as the lead technical overseeing live entertainment and holiday/seasonal technical installations at LLFR.\nResponsible for overseeing the planning, development, and execution of technical projects from concept to completion. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including creative designers, engineers, fabricators, theme park operations, and vendors to ensure all projects and installations are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nServe as the primary entertainment technical lead overseeing all entertainment and holiday/seasonal installations at LEGOLAND Florida Resort (LLFR).\nPartner with the project team throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept design through installation, strike, and debrief.\nDevelop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, resource requirements, and site logistics for LLFR installations and other assigned projects.\nMust have good audio, visual and lighting knowledge for entertainment productions shows, and theme park setups.\nOversee both on-site implementation at LLFR and off-site pre-fabrication/preparation of assigned projects.\nManage project budgets, review fund allocation for external resources, and coordinate budget modifications as needed.\nProvide initial cost ranges for preliminary design components.\nCollaborate with the Technical Leadership Team in developing and maintaining project P&Ls.\nServe as the primary technical point of contact for internal teams, client leadership, and venue stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and clear alignment with creative vision and technical requirements.\nWork closely with cross-functional teams-including talent and recruitment, designers, technical directors, theme park ops, and subcontractors-to ensure seamless project integration.\nIdentify potential technical and operational risks in project delivery and implement proactive mitigation strategies.\nLocate key suppliers, negotiate purchasing agreements, and ensure materials and products meet company and venue specifications.\nMaintain accurate documentation of project activities, structural/technical drawings, and change orders.\nConduct post-project evaluations and debriefs to identify areas for improvement.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nSupervise the work of Technicians, Vendors and park technical staff as needed, including planning, assigning, and scheduling work, reviewing work and ensuring quality standards, training staff and overseeing their productivity. \nDefine roles and responsibilities of the team and determine clear deliverables \nResponsible for the training and supervision of all staff to ensure proper adherence to all venue and company HSE policies and procedures and to all Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations \nResponsible for the management of seasonal employees onsite for the duration of the project/event and managing payroll. \nEnsure artistic creative intent, character integrity, and intellectual property parameters are consistently upheld. \nPlease Note: While this is intended to be an accurate description of the job, this is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, skills, efforts, requirements or working conditions associated with the position, and may require that other or different tasks be performed as necessary and assigned.\nQualifications & Skills:\nBachelor’s Degree preferred in Project Management, AV, Construction, or similar experience in themed entertainment or live experience industry \nProven experience as a Technical Director in themed entertainment or related industry \nProven experience in all areas of AV - Because of the time constraints of most of the department’s projects, the Technical Director will often be on-site and working in hot/humid, varying temperatures indicative of the Florida climate, rain, and drizzle conditions. Other project work may involve exposure to cold, snow, wind and other cold-climate conditions. In-Office time will be required as per company policy when not in conflict with project demands.\nPhysical Effort: Minimal - Physical effort represented by frequent handling of heavy objects (approx. 50-\n75 lbs.) and materials, or heavy hand tools. While on-site the Technical Director frequently operates heavy equipment and heavy hand tools. Standing for long periods of time, but often kneeling, bending, working at height well over 50 feet. While in-office, physical effort is light.\nHazards: Frequent potential hazards while onsite make a focus on safety a top priority.
