This position performs software design - typically across multiple components; is developing the skills of mentoring more junior members of the team and works with others to talk to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.\n\nWhat You Will Be Doing\n\nDesign, build and maintain high-quality software within your product or service area.\nProduce clear technical design documentation aligned to RX architecture principles and engineering standards.\nBuild secure, resilient, observable and maintainable systems with solid foundations in performance, extensibility and reliability.\nApply testing strategies that improve deployment confidence and support safe, predictable delivery.\nMake pragmatic trade-offs between speed, quality and maintainability within defined constraints.\nSolve moderately complex technical problems with practical, well-reasoned solutions.\nTake responsibility for the operational health of components within your scope, including monitoring, logging, incident response and post-mortem actions.\nMaintain runbooks, operational documentation and knowledge-sharing material.\nWork closely with Product and stakeholders to align technical solutions to user, customer and business outcomes.\nReduce technical debt in assigned areas to improve stability, maintainability and delivery efficiency.\nShare knowledge with peers and mentor less-experienced engineers through code reviews, pairing and constructive feedback.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\n\nTypically 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.\nExperience delivering large, complex, global or multi-tenant production systems across multiple components.\nAbility to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable, incremental technical solutions.\nExperience working in Agile, cross-functional product development teams.\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to engineers and immediate stakeholders.\nGood ownership of production components, including reliability, observability, incident response and continuous improvement.\nA collaborative approach, with a track record of improving team engineering practices and supporting others.\n\nTechnical Skills\n\nStrong proficiency in C# (.NET), JavaScript/TypeScript (React) and SQL (PostgreSQL).\nStrong system design skills, including SOLID principles, design patterns, API design, domain-driven design and event-driven architectures.\nExperience designing and building modern web applications using React, Vite, REST.\nExperience building and operating cloud-native applications on AWS, including services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS and Elastic Beanstalk.\nExperience with testing practices, DevSecOps, CI/CD, GitHub Actions and Secure SDLC.\nExperience using observability and analytics tools such as Splunk and Mixpanel.\nProficiency or strong interest in AI-assisted development using tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Bedrock and agentic AI workflows.\n\nHow You Will Make An Impact\n\nDeliver production-quality software that supports measurable customer and business outcomes.\nImprove the reliability, scalability and maintainability of key RX platforms.\nHelp the team deliver high-quality software with predictable cycle times and low change failure rates.\nSimplify systems, reduce technical debt and remove unnecessary complexity.\nBuild trust with engineers, Product and stakeholders through clear recommendations, sound judgement and reliable delivery.\n\nWork in a way that works for you\n\nWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organization.
