This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for revenue delivery, sales performance, people leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.\nAbout the role\nThe Group Exhibition Director is responsible for the overall strategic management, direction, development, and growth of an exhibition portfolio. A key challenge of the role is delivering sustainable growth through portfolio expansion, new event launches, new show sectors, and enhanced features.\nThe role works closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and other enabling functions to deliver strong commercial outcomes, high-quality events, and compelling value propositions for exhibitors and visitors.\nResponsibilities\nProvide strategic leadership for an exhibition portfolio, driving sustainable growth through new launches, portfolio expansion, and enhanced show features.\nOwn the commercial performance of the portfolio, including budget planning, revenue delivery, cost control, and forecasting.\nPartner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to deliver strong value propositions, effective go-to-market strategies, and high-quality event execution.\nBuild deep industry knowledge and stakeholder relationships to strengthen show positioning, retention, and long-term relevance.\nLead and develop direct reports through clear objectives, coaching, performance management, and capability building.\nIdentify and evaluate new business opportunities, including adjacency events, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.\nAct as a role model for collaboration, innovation, and adoption of company systems, processes, and best practices.\nRequirements\nRelevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Business, Marketing, or similar).\nExtensive experience (10+ years) in project, portfolio, or event management.\nProven experience managing budgets and full P&L responsibility, including forecasting and reforecasting.\nStrong strategic business development background with successful product or event launches.\nDemonstrated leadership and people management capability.\nExperience in sales, key account management, marketing, and brand management.\nStrong analytical, commercial, and stakeholder management skills.\nHighly organised, proactive, and commercially minded.\nExcellent communicator with a customer-centric mindset.\nCollaborative leader with a positive attitude and ability to influence across functions.\nTo learn more about opportunities with RX or RELX Global, join us here:\nwww.rxglobal.com\nwww.relx.com/careers/join-us\n\nWe know your well-being and happiness are key to a long and successful career.
