is developing the skills of mentoring more junior members of the team and works with others to talk to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and interactive dashboards. \nWork with business stakeholders to understand reporting and analytical requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions. \nDevelop and maintain data models within Power BI using appropriate modelling techniques. \nDevelop and optimise DAX measures, calculated columns, and calculated tables. \nDevelop and optimise Power Query transformations using M. \nConnect Power BI to a range of data sources, including SQL Server, Oracle, APIs, and other business systems. \nWork closely with Data Engineers to ensure appropriate data structures and datasets are available for reporting requirements, including demonstrating advanced-level SQL troubleshooting capabilities. \nDevelop and maintain reusable datasets, semantic models, and reporting solutions. \nImplement appropriate data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of reporting. \nApply Row-Level Security (RLS) and other Power BI security features where required. \nPublish, manage, and maintain reports and datasets within Power BI Service. \nSupport Power BI workspaces, apps, scheduled refreshes, and deployment processes. \nTroubleshoot report, data refresh, performance, and connectivity issues. \nOptimise Power BI reports and data models to improve performance and usability. \nUse Performance Analyzer, DAX Studio, and Tabular Editor to troubleshoot and optimise Power BI solutions. \nUtilise the Power BI Capacity Metrics App to monitor and optimise capacity usage across multiple semantic models. \nImplement and manage incremental refresh across multiple semantic models. \nImplement and manage Power BI gateways, including associated configurations and data sources within Power BI Service. \nWork closely with the support team to quickly troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues raised in the Production environment. \nApply Microsoft Fabric capabilities to support effective capacity management and configuration management. \nContribute to solution design using Microsoft Fabric features and capabilities. \nEnsure dashboards and reports follow consistent visualisation and design standards. \nMaintain source code and Power BI development assets using GitHub and follow version control best practices. \nProduce technical and user documentation for developed Power BI solutions. \nSupport users with Power BI reporting and provide guidance on best practices. \nContribute to the continuous improvement of Business Intelligence and reporting standards and practices. \nRequired Skills & Experience\nEssential\n3-5 years of commercial experience developing Power BI solutions. \nStrong experience with Microsoft Power BI, including: \nPower BI Desktop \nPower BI Service \nPower Query \nAdvanced DAX \nData modelling \nDashboards and interactive reports \nMicrosoft Fabric features and capabilities \nReporting best practices \nStrong knowledge of DAX, including creating and optimising measures using a broad range of functions and calculated expressions. \nStrong experience working with databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle using SQL Developer. \nStrong SQL knowledge, including: \nViews \nCommon Table Expressions (CTEs) \nRANK and other window functions \nExecution plans \nIndexing and keys \nStored Procedures \nQuery optimization and troubleshooting \nExperience developing data models using star schema and dimensional modelling principles, including large and complex models containing 30+ tables. \nExperience connecting Power BI to Oracle, SQL Server, and other data sources. \nGood understanding of Power Query and M for data transformation and preparation. \nExperience managing and publishing reports through Power BI Service. \nExperience configuring and troubleshooting scheduled data refreshes. \nUnderstanding of Power BI security, including Row-Level Security (RLS). \nExperience troubleshooting and optimising Power BI report and semantic model performance. \nExperience using GitHub or another source control system for version management. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nExcellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. \nDesirable\nExperience integrating Power BI with Salesforce. \nExperience working with REST APIs and API-based data sources. \nExperience working alongside Data Engineering teams and ETL processes. \nKnowledge of SSIS and/or Talend. \nExperience of working with web analytical platforms. \nExperience with Power BI deployment pipelines and application lifecycle management. \nKnowledge of AWS and/or Azure data services. \nExperience with Power BI gateway configuration and administration. \nFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies. \nExperience supporting enterprise-level Business Intelligence environments. \nQualifications\nDegree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business
