We create more efficient ways for shippers and carriers to transport goods across North America.\nAs a Field Operations Manager at RXO, you’ll lead a large, complex, cross-functional operation spanning third-party logistics, warehouse, transportation, customer, and carrier teams. You’ll serve as a central point of coordination, aligning stakeholders, driving operational performance, and ensuring consistent execution against customer objectives.\nWhat your day-to-day will look like:\nLead a complex, high-volume operation across multiple functions, establishing countermeasures and improvement plans to ensure customer KPIs are achieved and sustained.\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams to establish ownership, track progress, resolve dependencies, and drive timely execution of corrective actions.\nMonitor, analyze, and evaluate transportation teams against key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics, escalating risks and implementing recovery plans as needed.\nWork with 3rd party warehouse and transportation activities in a 24x5 operating environment, coordinating response to operational disruptions, natural disasters, shutdowns, and business continuity events.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain standardized work procedures that align customer requirements with 3PL execution across the operation.\nPartner with cross functional leaders to develop strategies for continuous improvement, operational efficiency, service performance, and cost reduction.\nEstablish clear operating rhythms, accountability, and communication across internal teams, customers, carriers, and third-party partners to support an integrated end-to-end operation.\nAt a minimum, you’ll need:\n5 years of logistics, transportation, or complex operations experience.\nDemonstrated experience leading across multiple functions and influencing stakeholders without direct reporting relationships.\nStrong group presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively across organizational levels and with external partners.\nStrong proficiency with Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nIt’d be great if you also have:\nBachelor’s degree (B.A.) in a related field.\nExperience in the automotive industry.\nExperience managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder operations with responsibility for performance, cost, continuous improvement, and operational continuity.\nDoes this sound like you?
