You will play a critical role in helping clients reduce Business Rates liabilities, identify savings opportunities, and deliver measurable value across complex property portfolios.\nWorking alongside surveyors, analysts, finance professionals, and local authorities, you will support the management of Business Rates payments for some of the UK's largest property investors, developers, occupiers, and corporate clients.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in Business Rates, Revenues, Property Tax, Finance Administration, or Payments who is looking to develop their career within a market-leading Property Tax practice.\nDuties and responsibilities:\nManage and process Business Rates payments on behalf of a diverse client portfolio. \nReview rates bills, notices, and assessments to ensure accuracy and compliance. \nIdentify billing errors, overcharges, exemptions, reliefs, and savings opportunities. \nProactively reduce client liabilities through detailed analysis and investigation. \nSchedule and process payments in line with client requirements and statutory deadlines. \nReconcile payment accounts and maintain accurate, audit-ready records. \nLiaise with local authorities, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve payment queries and discrepancies. \nSupport the preparation of client reports and payment summaries. \nMaintain documentation in accordance with GDPR and company policies. \nCollaborate with surveyors and analysts to support appeals, relief applications, and mitigation strategies. \nTake ownership of your workload and contribute to revenue generation through the identification and delivery of client savings. \nSupport continuous improvement initiatives across payment processes, systems, and controls.\nEducation and Experience:\nExperience in Business Rates, Property Tax, Revenues, Payments, Finance Administration, or a related field. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nExcellent attention to detail and accuracy. \nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. \nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills. \nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial systems. \nA proactive approach with accountability for outcomes and client service delivery. \nPreferred but not essential experience:\nExperience within a Local Authority Revenues Team. \nKnowledge of UK Business Rates (NNDR) legislation and billing processes. \nExperience working within a Property Tax consultancy, surveying practice, or corporate rates environment. \nUnderstanding of rating assessments, reliefs, exemptions, and local authority billing processes. \nExperience managing large property portfolios or payment
