This individual will primarily be responsible for problem solving and managing the design process, ensuring that design intent is executed on time and on budget, both as part of a collaborative team and independently.\nSome things you can expect to do:\nEnsure team members understand what is expected of them and hold them accountable for performance, provide regular feedback and have development conversations, delegate appropriate tasks and provide timely and meaningful recognition.\n\nWork in tandem with client, director, department leadership and key project team members to develop project management plan for each phase of a project with periodic oversight of the director.\n\nLead Project Management efforts throughout the design and construction phase of projects.\n\nParticipate in and manage design meetings, owner/client meetings and project team meetings.\n\nEstablish agendas, lead meetings in partnership with other A+E staff, document and communicate meeting decisions and next steps.\n\nDevelop resource plan including internal and consultant management.\n\nManage internal resources using Deltek, including regular review of team hours.\n\nParticipate in consultant contract process including creating RPs, soliciting proposals, selecting consultants in partnership with Director and department leadership, executing contracts and managing consultant's scope.\n\nParticipate in creating and managing design schedule; communicate key milestones and deadlines to internal team, partners and consultants; collaborate with Director to communicate schedule and resource requirements at department staffing meetings.\n\nManage \"Owner Authorization to Proceed\" process for each design phase of the project.\n\nManage project scope through tracking and communicating open items and priorities.\n\nManage deliverables; document and communicate deliverable expectations in partnership with development, construction and project team; track project progress to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.\n\nPerform tasks with a high level of collaboration and set an example for others to follow.\n\nEstablish and pursue annual goals: based on personal, professional and company growth in the industry.\n\nEnsure firm and project goals of design excellence, execution and profitability.\n\nDirect, supervise and mentor junior staff.\n\nTo be successful in this role, you must have relevant professional work experience with a proven track record of managing multiple projects and a strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, resource, and workload management. Additional requirements include:\nA bachelor's or master's degree in architecture is required.\nYou should have a proven track record of leading and coordinating work efforts of a diverse team with thoughtful, inspirational, and collaborative leadership.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is expected.\nYou will really stand out if you have:\n10 years or more of experience.\n\nStrong knowledge of Excel, Procore, Deltek and other project management software.\n\nWorking knowledge of Revit and Bluebeam.\n\nArchitectural licensure.\n\nLeadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and/or WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) Certifications.\n\nProject Management Professional (PMP)® certification.\n\nCompensation:\nThe base salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities.
