Works with VP of Construction, Field Teams, and Project Teams.\nSome things you can expect to do:\nEnsure team members understand what is expected of them and hold them accountable for performance, provide regular feedback and have development conversations, delegate appropriate tasks and provide timely and meaningful recognition.\n\nAssist Vice President of Field Operations in hiring new staff members. (Hiring of new employees will be discussed at Field Coordinator meetings.)\n\nTrain team members in proper estimating, scheduling, and construction management techniques.\n\nAssist Vice President of Field Operations in employee evaluation process and make recommendations regarding compensation for team members.\n\nTerminate (layoff or firing) team members when appropriate. Termination issues will be discussed at Field Coordinator meetings. Any termination shall have the direct involvement and approval of the Vice President of Field Operations.\n\nSignificant participation in presentations to prospective clients.\n\nParticipate in past and continuing client contact program.\n\nAssist project management in project proposal stage with scheduling and budgeting.\n\nAssure that every project has someone assigned to it with “bottom line” responsibility for the project.\n\nReview all estimates generated within the team for completeness and competitiveness.\n\nAssure that all team members are using the appropriate “Ryan Tools” and that its use is consistent with the methods used throughout the construction department.\n\nAchieve maximum profit on each project in a means that is consistent with Ryan’s long term interests.\n\nAssure that proper cost control techniques are used on all projects.\n\nAssure that proper communication and documentation procedures are adhered to on all projects.\n\nAssure that projects are closed out properly and that punchlist work is completed in a timely manner.\n\nAssure that accounts payable and accounts receivable are kept current on all projects assigned to them.\n\nAssist project team members in approval and monitoring of subcontractors.\n\nFurther develop and train subordinates on new and existing computer programs.\n\nStay current on regional union issues and review and approve project labor agreements.\n\nPrepare monthly reports to the Vice President of Field Operations on the status of all projects assigned to them.\n\nActively participate in periodic Field Manager/ Field Coordinator meetings and support decisions made at these meetings.\n\nWork on special projects pertaining to the division as a whole.\n\nAssist the Vice President of Field Operations in project and personnel assignments and workload monitoring.\n\nAssist Vice President of Field Operations in accomplishing field operation “Action Plans”\n\nRemain current with new developments in the construction industry in general and communicate them to team members.\n\nTo be successful in this role, you must exhibit good sales ability and sensitivity to client needs.\n\nEligibility:\nPosition requires verification of employment to work in the U.S.\nBenefits:\nCompetitive Salary\n\nMedical, Dental and Vision Benefits\n\nRetirement and Savings Benefits\n\nFlexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts\n\nLife Insurance\n\nShort-Term and Long-Term Disability\n\nEducational Assistance\n\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\n\nEmployee Assistance and Wellness Programs\n\nParenting Benefits\n\nEmployee Discount Programs\n\nPet insurance\n\nRyan Foundation - charitable matching funds\n\nPaid Time for Volunteer Events\n\nDisclaimer: Eligibility may vary based on factors such as role, hours worked, employment status, length of service, location, and other considerations.
