This position is available as a summer internship running from May to August or a spring co-op running from May to December.\nThe VDC (Virtual Design and Construction) intern assists the project team in the completion of designated projects while focusing on learning construction industry processes, procedures, and Ryan business policies\nSome things you can expect to do:\nDevelop a first-hand understanding of job-site coordination, scheduling, quality control and safety.\nAssist VDC Engineers and Managers in daily responsibilities, including model management, design coordination, field support, and other requests from the project team.\nGain a working understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) administration, coordination, and model management.\nAssist project teams in creation of pursuit materials and other exhibits.\nLearn core VDC software and processes, including Autodesk and Adobe products\nDevelop and maintain site logistics and schedule sequencing models\nPartner with project VDC resources and team members to create virtual mockups\nTo be successful in this role:\nPursuing a bachelor’s degree.\nWithin 18 months of graduating with a four-year degree in Construction Engineering/Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, BIM Management or closely related field.\nAble to work 40 hours a week for at least a three-month term.\nIn order to fully learn this role and understand what it means to work for Ryan, eight months is the ideal length of time for this type of role.\nYou will really stand out if you:\nAt least one summer of construction, architecture, engineering or BIM related work experience.\nHave a general knowledge of BIM, construction, scheduling and 3D modeling.\nPossess the ability to read and understand contracts, specifications and architectural and engineering drawings.\nCommunicate clearly orally and in writing.\nEligibility:\nPositions require verification of employment eligibility to work in the U.S. \nCompensation:\nThe hourly wage is $20-$25/hour.
