The Senior Consultant will help to properly classify a client's assets to accelerate depreciation resulting in a lower first-year tax burden. Experience in cost segregation, building construction, engineering or construction estimating is preferred.The ideal candidate will have analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong people skills. The successful candidate will be effective in performing site visits, reconciling construction costs, understand tax depreciation, perform quantity takeoffs, and estimate costs from drawings and physical structures.\nThe Senior Consultant is responsible for creating positive team member experiences, which lead to excellent client service and drive revenue and profit for the Firm.\nSuccessful Ryan team members embrace and live Ryan’s values of Pursue Excellence, Wired to Win, Generosity Matters, Build Trust and Integrity Always and will embody and demonstrate accountability.\n**This position is a hybrid work environment and will require in-office attendance 3 days/week. Ryan will provide office parking or transit costs depending on the city.**\nDuties and responsibilities, as they align to Ryan’s Key Results\nPeople:\nCreate a positive team member and client experience.\nClient:\nResponds to client inquiries.\nCoordinates document requests and site visit scheduling.\nTravel and perform site visits with client and/or client representative.\nValue:\nWorks effectively with clients on a national basis.\nAttends client meetings and property inspections.\nUnderstand construction project life cycle.\nReviews client construction or acquisition documents and property tax records.\nAbility to perform engineering take-offs from construction plans including civil, architectural, structural, and MEP.\nApplies software knowledge to efficiently work with client data.\nPrepares and reviews cost segregation study reports.\nAssists with Estimates of Benefits as needed.\nResearch tax issues.\nInteracts frequently with members of a team.\nCommunicates effectively through written and verbal channels.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\nEducation and Experience:\nCost Segregation preparation experience preferred.\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate or other degree.\nMust have 3.0 GPA or higher.\nRelevant work experience preferred (e.g. internships, summer positions, school jobs) or Bachelor's degree and one to three years related to the construction industry, construction design or cost segregation related experience.\nDesire to perform in a high-energy team environment.\nDemonstrate leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to learn and apply practical application to solve problems.\nAbility to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.\nComputer Skills:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient at Microsoft® Word and Excel. Intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research is beneficial.
