Success in this position requires hands-on engineering expertise, strong ownership, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nSoftware Design and Development\nTranslate business needs into agentic workflows and production-ready full-stack components, including application programming interfaces (APIs), services, and user interfaces (UIs).\nDesign and document functional and technical specifications for mid-sized to large components.\nImplement agent orchestration, tool use, and integrations with a strong focus on correctness, safety, and reliability.\nImplement and review high-quality code using modern software development practices.\nConduct design and code reviews with an emphasis on performance, scalability, and maintainability.\nApplications Integration and Middleware\nIntegrate enterprise applications and services using APIs and middleware solutions.\nConduct feasibility assessments and support application interoperability testing.\nTroubleshoot integration issues and support the optimization of connected systems.\nCloud, DevOps, and Configuration\nDevelop software and participate in deployments within Microsoft Azure cloud environments.\nConfigure platform-specific deployment scripts and troubleshoot build and release issues.\nParticipate in infrastructure-as-code practices and cloud performance tuning.\nTesting and Automation\nDefine evaluation strategies for agent behavior, including golden datasets, regression suites, scenario coverage, and reliability checks.\nInstrument and monitor agent behavior, including tool-call traces, latency and cost metrics, and failure modes, and drive iterative improvements.\nDesign and execute complex unit, integration, and automated test cases.\nAnalyze and resolve test failures, propose code fixes, and contribute to automation frameworks.\nCollaborate with quality assurance and DevOps teams to enhance continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.\nArchitecture Support\nAssist in translating high-level architecture into low-level designs.\nDevelop and maintain design artifacts under the guidance of architects and staff engineers.\nUnderstand existing system architecture and communicate trade-offs during design sessions.\nCollaboration and Execution\nWork closely with product managers, user experience (UX) designers, and business stakeholders.\nContribute to project planning and estimation for features and enhancements.\nLead technical discussions, mentor junior engineers, and support knowledge sharing.\nRequired Competencies\nTechnical Strength\nDemonstrates a deep understanding of core programming concepts, system design principles, and application performance optimization.\nHas hands-on experience building agentic systems with large language models (LLMs), including tool use, orchestration, multistep flows, and verification and validation patterns.\nIs proficient in one or more agentic frameworks, such as LangChain/LangGraph, the OpenAI Agents Software Development Kit (SDK), Microsoft Semantic Kernel, Microsoft AutoGen, or CrewAI.\nIs proficient in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code using at least one modern full-stack technology stack.
