We define ourselves through our superior execution on behalf of our clients, which has established us as a leader in the industry.\nPosition Summary\nThe AVP Property Claims will be part of the Claims Advocacy and Insight team and will work closely with Claims and Operations department. This role will be the subject matter expert on Ryan Specialty coverage and accurately manage claims to achieve positive outcomes for assigned clients. This role will develop and produce coherent and comprehensive writing responses to coverage rebuttal position letters.What will your job entail?\nJob Responsibilities:\nCommunicate with the insurance carriers’ claims department to resolve coverage issues.\nDraft coverage rebuttal position letters.\nReview policies and act as a sounding board for broker teams with technical coverage issues.\nCounsel brokers and retail partners on coverage and claims-related issues.\nMediate claims issues and find acceptable solutions.\nStay up-to-date on claims and coverage related developments.\nAdvise on policy wording solutions for recurring coverage issues.\nDevelop relationships both with the carriers and with our brokers facilitating the ability be a credible resource and spokesperson on coverage and claims-related issues.\nAdditional duties as assigned.\nWork Experience and Education:\nBachelor’s degree is required along with 8+ years of Commercial Property claims experience.\nMust have previous insurance carrier experience with high dollar/” severe” property claims.\nExperience in Inland Marine and Ocean Marine claims a plus.\nAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.\nAbility to develop, analyze, and implement strategies with a proactive long-term view of business goals and objectives.\nLicenses & Certifications:\nClaims Adjuster License a plus.\nSkills:\nTechnical/Functional Skills:\nInsurance Industry Knowledge\nCommercial Property Insurance\nClaims\nInsurance Regulations\nClaims Management\nBehavioral Skills:\nProblem Solver\nCommunication\nTime Management\nAttention to Detail\nRelationship Building\nRyan Specialty is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
