The successful candidate will play a key role in financial control, regulatory compliance, client money oversight, and continuous process improvement while partnering with stakeholders across the business.\nLocation:\nLondon - UK - FenchurchWhat will your job entail?\nKey Responsibilities\nActively involved in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.\nSupport preparation of statutory financial reporting and year-end accounts.\nPerform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls.\nProvide analysis to assist with capital planning\nAssist with Group reporting and liaison with US parent company finance teams.\nSupport compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP and insurance regulatory requirements.\nPropose opportunities to improve finance processes, controls and reporting.\nSupport external and internal audits and manage audit requests.\nSupport the management and oversight of Client Money in accordance with CASS 5 rules.\nPerform fiduciary and client money reconciliations.\nInvestigate and resolve reconciliation differences promptly.\nSupport year end and client money audits.\nCandidate Profile\nThe successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting skills with excellent organisational ability and experience operating within a regulated insurance environment.\nEssential Experience & Qualifications\nPart qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).\nExperience within insurance, MGA, broker or London Market organisations preferred.\nPrevious experience in a Controllership role preferred.\nClient Money under FCA CASS 5 experience preferred.\nUnderstanding of insurance accounting principles and London Market regulatory requirements.\nExperience supporting the production of statutory accounts and reg returns.\nExperience with balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.\nExperience supporting external audits.\nStrong Excel skills and experience using financial systems.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.\nDisclaimer\nRyan Specialty is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
