We define ourselves through our superior execution on behalf of our clients, which has established us as a leader in the industry.\nPosition Summary\nThe Underwriting Coordinator is responsible for assisting and supporting underwriters with quoting, rating and issuance of new business, quotes, renewals, and endorsements. This position also responds to problem situations from brokers and performs customer service tasks.What will your job entail?\nJob Responsibilities:Support all steps of the underwriting process in conjunction with the underwriting operations function.\nLiaise with Underwriters and Operations team to confirm quotes, policy issuance instructions for policies, endorsements, forms, notices, etc. and effectively complete coding/issuance of Ryan Specialty business.\nFollowing up for additional information from brokers\nIdentify proper forms and endorsements issued to quote submissions and policy issuance in tandem with Underwriters.\nRun reports for management or as directed by Underwriters including exposure data, loss runs, broker submissions, declinations, and other ad hoc requests.\nAssist underwriters with new business initiatives and customer events.\nTrack premium due and assist underwriters in calculating premium amounts, resolving premium discrepancies, and issuing invoices.\nEnsure all parts of the Underwriting workflow are completed both accurately and on time.\nParticipating in peer review and quality control for team(s) as needed\nWorking on special projects as needed\nWork Experience and Education:\nBA/BS degree in Business or Risk Management.\n6 Months to 1 year of experience in related field or similar role.\nExtensive knowledge of insurance and policy issuance systems.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\nSkills:\nTechnical/Functional Skills:\nResults Driven\nInsurance Regulation\nCritical Thinking\nQuoting\nNegotiation\nBusiness Development\nBehavioral Skills:\nTime Management\nMulti-Task\nDecision Making\n• Communication\nRyan Specialty is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
