Interns will receive training and development to become the most seasoned state, local, federal, and international tax professionals in the industry.Duties and Responsibilities:\nProvide exceptional client service to multi-state companies by to identify tax savings opportunities\nAssist multi-state companies with state and local tax controversies, which includes preparing clients for discussions with auditors, representing the client at hearings and at appeal meetings, and preparing protests\nResearch and draft technical memoranda regarding state and local tax questions or issues\nRespond to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities\nReview documentation and research issues\nWork with raw data to complete detailed calculations\nEducation and Experience:\nWorking toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate or Economics.\nAnticipated graduation date within one year of internship\nMinimum Overall and Major GPA of 2.8\nMinimum of 6 - 12 Accounting hours depending on practice\nProfessional Skills Requirements:\nWork effectively in a fast pace, high-energy environment.\nStrong problem solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.\nAbility to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.\nAbility to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.\nIntermediate knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, Outlook, and etc.\nComputer Skills:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.\nCertificates and Licenses:\nValid driver's license required.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.\nCompensation:\nFor certain Colorado-based intern roles, the hourly hiring range for this position is $22.60 -
