We have an in-house Architectural Finishes & Specialty Fabrication Division that ships/installs nationally.\nWe are seeking an experienced assistant project manager for our Washington DC office. This position is to be based out of the Richmond, VA area.\nWhat you will do:\nReading of documents and contracts. \nWriting Subcontracts. \nNegotiating and awarding subcontracts. \nReviewing/preparing subcontractors scope of work. \nDevelop and maintain schedules using Microsoft Project. \nAttend meetings and prepare minutes. \nReview/prepare change orders. \nDevelop/track submittals, RFI’s and cost reports. \nMaintain owner relations. \nWhat you will need to be successful:\nMinimum of two (2) years’ experience managing multiple retail commercial construction projects valued at $5 million and up. \nExcellent communication skills. \nMust have the ability to direct complex projects from concept to fully operational status. \nComputer Skills Required - Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). \nAbility to create material take-off’s. \nAbility to read and interpret blueprints. \nShould be highly organized, highly motivated and a detail directed problem solver. \nCollege degree preferred, but not required. \nAt Rycon Construction, Inc. we believe outstanding employees build the foundation necessary for excellence in business.
