We have an in-house Architectural Finishes & Specialty Fabrication Division that ships/installs nationally.\nWe are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager/Estimator for our Building Group at our Pittsburgh office.\nWhat you will do:\nPreform documentation review and quantity take-offs.\nResearch material, labor, and equipment pricing.\nParticipate in gathering of data to support market condition research, inclusive of, but not limited to: construction market trends, current projects, contractor's availability, skill sets, labor force, and other miscellaneous contributions on aspects of construction cost and performance.\nCalculate researched data into specific cost estimating software programs.\nDevelop trade specific scopes of work for projects to align with project documentation and investigation.\nLead and/or support the estimating team with cost and trade scope analysis in a clear understandable format.\nRespond to common inquiries or issues from clients, regulatory agencies, or members of the business and general community at large.\nWhat you will need to be successful:\nThe ability to read project drawings and interpret specifications.\nMinimum of 7 years estimating or operations experience on construction projects ranging up to $200 million.\nExperience performing quantity take-offs.\nExperience leading or supporting a project estimating team.\nComputer skills required - Microsoft Project, OST, MC2, Planswift, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).\nKnowledge of Pittsburgh market preferred, but not required.\nMission critical data center experience is a plus\nRelevant experience in new construction and/or renovations of commercial office, health care, multi-unit residential, higher education and retail buildings.\nAt Rycon Construction, Inc. we believe outstanding employees build the foundation necessary for excellence in business.
