This role ensures accurate, timely financial information and supports compliance with company policies, internal controls, GAAP, and applicable accounting standards.\nKey Responsibilities:\nLead, supervise, and support the accounting team.\nPrepare, review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting transactions.\nReview and validate AP transactions and accruals, for appropriate account coding.\nReview data supporting excise tax filings for certain jurisdictions.\nReview and validate monthly rent payment schedule, including rent, cam and related expenses, to ensure accurate calculations for timely payment requests.\nOversee SG&A-related AP & AR activities to ensure accuracy and timely processing.\nCoordinate and oversee month-end and year-end closing activities and meet reporting deadlines.\nPrepare and review account reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.\nPerform quarterly sales commission payout calculation, maintain related amortization schedule, and prepare the corresponding monthly and quarterly journal entries. \nMaintain the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.\nInvestigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and provide appropriate follow-up.\nPartner with internal business team to resolve accounting issues and provide accounting guidance.\nSupport compliance with company policies, internal controls, GAAP, and applicable accounting standards.\nAssist the Senior Accounting Manager and/or upper management with special projects, financial analysis, and other accounting initiatives.\nTrain, coach, and evaluate accounting associates.\nApprove weekly timecard for direct reports.\nParticipate in ad hoc projects and process improvement initiatives as needed.\nCommon qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting.\n5-7+ years accounting experience.\nPrevious supervisory or team-lead experience.\nStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.\nExperience with ERP/accounting systems such as SAP, Workday, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
