This role focuses on keeping these customers satisfied and retaining them. This is a 100% sales position. The purpose of this role is to retain and grow current national rental customers, increase wallet share and get more trucks on the road. The NRCDM will improve the profitability of current national rental accounts and meet or exceed assigned quotas for revenue growth and retention.\nThe assigned book is made up of national rental customers headquartered in the West and Central regions. The position can be based remotely, and candidates located within the West or Central regions are preferred.\nCompensation & Benefits\nBase pay: $70,000/year plus Uncapped Commission\nCommission earning potential: Realistic first year earnings average around ~$115,000\nMileage reimbursement for all business travel\nCell phone: your choice of a company-provided phone or a $35/month phone stipend\nFull benefits package, 401(k) with employer match and a discount on RyderShares\nSales Territory\nAn existing book of top national rental accounts headquartered in the West and Central regions\nRemote position with significant travel; candidates based in the West or Central regions are preferred\nTravel\n60% to 75% travel, with frequent overnight travel. On average, you will spend two out of every three weeks on the road meeting with customers.\nEssential Functions\nManages a book of approximately 100 top national rental accounts\nGrows wallet share and revenue within assigned national rental accounts\nDevelops sales plans and a communication plan for each assigned account\nSchedules and leads customer meetings and builds strong relationships at all levels of the customer organization\nAttends customer events and trade shows for applicable industries within the territory\nCompletes annual business reviews with assigned customers\nAnalyzes the profitability of assigned national rental accounts and fully understands the competitive influences and risks within each account\nPartners with Rental Account Managers (RAMs) to develop their skill sets and help them grow into higher level salespeople\nAdditional Responsibilities\nPerforms other duties as assigned\nEducation\nBachelor’s degree in Business and/or Marketing or equivalent experience\nExperience\nFive (5) years or more of experience\nDemonstrated consecutive Sales Excellence (quota achievement) in prior sales roles\nPrior experience as a Rental Manager, Rental Account Manager (RAM) or Business Development Manager (BDM) on the lease side preferred\nSkills\nHighly self-motivated with a high degree of initiative; able to find and act on opportunities to strengthen customer relationships without day-to-day direction\nHighly organized, able to multi-task, with excellent time management skills\nDemonstrated problem solving skills\nStrong verbal and written communication skills\nAbility to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers and supervisors)\nAbility to coach and develop others\nAbility to work independently and as a member of a team spread across the country\nFlexibility and the drive to excel in a fast-paced environment\nDetail oriented with excellent follow-up practices\nKnowledge\nKnowledge of Ryder rental products and operations preferred\nLicenses\nNone\nJob Category\nOutside SalesOur Culture & Commitment:\nAt Ryder, you’re trusted to make an impact-while enjoying room to grow and having a voice that’s heard.
