Our social justice mission and trauma-informed framework guide our daily work and internal processes.\nWe are expanding programs across multiple levels of care and are hiring Full-Time, Part-Time, and On-Call Behavior Specialists to join our multidisciplinary teams.\nBehavior Specialists have the opportunity to work in one or more of the following programs:\nPartial Hospitalization Programs (PHP)\nIntensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)\nPosition Summary:\nOur Behavior Specialists create and maintain a positive, safe, and therapeutic environment while supporting clients in meeting their individualized treatment goals.\nThis role provides direct client care, facilitates therapeutic groups, supports daily program routines, and collaborates within a multidisciplinary treatment team.\nPrimary Responsibilities include, but not limited to:\nFacilitate and support daily program activities, including skills groups, meals/snacks, and outings\nSupport clients in learning coping skills, emotional regulation, and behavior management\nAssist clients in progressing toward individualized treatment goals\nPromote a safe, affirming, and therapeutic environment\nMaintain appropriate professional boundaries\nRole model healthy communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills\nComplete daily clinical documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations.\nCase management and care coordination with external community and court providers.\nAssist with daily routines and client care tasks, including meal preparation when applicable\nParticipate in ongoing training (eating disorders, neurodiversity, anxiety, OCD, DBT-informed care, etc.)\nCollaborate within a multidisciplinary team\nAdditional responsibilities may vary depending on the assigned program.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree (mental health field preferred) OR High School diploma/GED with at least one year of combined education, training, or experience working with children, youth, and/or families (preferably in a mental health setting)\nValid Washington State driver’s license\nGood driving record and ability to drive agency vehicles\nAbility to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse cultural, spiritual, and lifestyle backgrounds\nCommitment to applying a social justice and equity lens to all aspects of work\nPreferred Experience:\nEating disorders\nNeurodivergent youth\nAnxiety and OCD\nDBT-informed care\nHigher levels of behavioral health treatment (PHP, IOP, Residential, FIRS)\nTeens and/or at-risk youth\nSchedule Options:\nOn-Call: (Day, swing, and night shifts available depending on program needs)\nPHP Full-Time: Monday-Thursday 7:30-6pm\nSchedules vary by program and level of care.\nBenefits include:\nMedical/Dental Benefits (Premium covered up to 94% by Ryther, depending on plan, and we pay $5000.00 towards your deductible and out of pocket max)\n$5,000 contribution toward deductible and out-of-pocket maximum\n15 Days Paid Vacation (which increases to 17 after your second year, and by 1 each year after that - this is prorated to reflect your FTE as a part-time employee)\n10 Sick Days (vacation & sick time rollover)\n9 Paid Holidays + 1 Floating Holiday\nFree Medical Telehealth Appointments for you and anyone in your household (General Medical, Dermatology, Mental Health, Neck and Back Care, Nutrition, etc.)\n40% off Aflac supplemental insurance + free identity theft protection\n403b Tax Deferred Retirement Plan\n$50,000 Life Insurance\nRyther is a registered 501c(3) which qualifies for the federal Student Loan Forgiveness program\nFull benefits are available for Part-Time and Full-Time positions.
