managing capital equipment projects and operational improvement initiatives to help ensure a safe, high-quality, and high-performance work environment.\nYou will lead initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional partners across Maintenance, Manufacturing Operations, Safety, Learning & Development, and Lean organizations to ensure new and revised processes are implemented effectively and with precision.\nIn this role, you will continuously identify opportunities to eliminate losses, build new capabilities, and implement new technologies, with a primary focus on improving safety, quality, cost, and productivity.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nManage new equipment capital projects from the concept phase through startup.\nDevelop project budgets, obtain funding approval, and manage project costs throughout the life of each project.\nDevelop equipment and process specifications for new equipment using the SCJ Early Management Engineering work process.\nInvestigate, drive, and assist in the implementation of cost-saving projects, manufacturing process optimization, business process optimization, and productivity improvements related to existing manufacturing equipment and processes.\nCollaborate with R&D, procurement, and process development teams during the new product development process to ensure all new product specifications are aligned with manufacturing capabilities within the site. \nDevelop site standards and best practices for equipment and processes for application across other areas of the site.\nParticipate in the capital planning process and development of strategic equipment plans for the site. \nAct as a technical resource and mentor to peers. \nEnsure compliance with SCJ Global Standards and other regulations that may apply.\nREQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related manufacturing or industrial discipline. \n5+ years of work experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years of relevant experience \nQualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. \nPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\nMinimum of 7+ years of experience managing capital projects in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience in consumer-packaged goods, food and beverage, chemical, pharmaceutical, or a similar high-volume manufacturing industry.\nExperience specifying custom equipment to meet project objectives.\nQualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship for full-time employment.\nTechnical experience with filling, labeling, and packaging equipment and processes related to aerosol or liquid-container products.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Wisconsin.\nCost-estimating experience, including the ability to establish project budgets and execute projects within budget targets.\nKnowledge of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) principles and experience applying them to new equipment to achieve performance targets.\nExperience using 2D and 3D computer-aided design (CAD) systems for plant layouts and machine design.\nExperience with process failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) and process control planning methodologies.\nKnowledge of machine safety principles, risk assessment, and applicable International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.\nProject management experience, including developing project plans, budgets, and timelines and communicating project status, changes, and risks.\nExperience onboarding and managing vendors and contractors and ensuring compliance with applicable safety requirements.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to contribute as a team member or team leader and influence others to achieve objectives.\nBusiness acumen and adaptability, including the ability to understand the business implications of decisions, align work with strategic goals, and adapt to changing priorities.\nDemonstrated ability to develop innovative approaches and solutions to manufacturing and engineering challenges.\nAbility to navigate ambiguity, identify problems, recommend objectives, and develop effective courses of action.\nJOB REQUIREMENTS\n Full-time, first-shift position with occasional night or weekend work as
