This role blends hands-on technical leadership with mentorship, architectural decision-making, and close partnership with product, design, and compliance stakeholders.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nSet and drive the technical vision and architecture for our mobile app(s), balancing performance, scalability, security, and maintainability\nLead a team of mobile engineers (iOS/Android/cross-platform) through design reviews, code reviews, and technical mentorship\nPartner with Product and UX to translate business requirements — claims filing, policy management, ID cards, payments, notifications — into robust technical solutions\nEnsure the app meets insurance industry standards for data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance (e.g., PII/PHI handling, SOC 2, state insurance regulations)\nDrive engineering best practices: automated testing, crash monitoring, performance profiling, and release management\nCollaborate with backend/API teams to define contracts and ensure reliable, secure data flows\nParticipate in incident response and troubleshooting for production mobile issues\nEvaluate and integrate tools for analytics, push notifications, biometric authentication, and fraud prevention\nContribute to hiring, onboarding, and technical career development of mobile engineers\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n10+ years of mobile development experience, including 2+ years in a technical lead or similar leadership capacity\nDeep expertise in native iOS (Swift) and/or Android (Kotlin) development;
