This position offers the opportunity to influence product quality from design through to delivery, ensuring systems perform reliably in demanding operational environments.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on testing, problem solving and working closely with hardware, systems, quality and manufacturing teams across the full product lifecycle\nKey Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop and document hardware test jigs, fixtures and test equipment to support verification, validation and production acceptance activities.\nDevelop and execute hardware test plans, procedures, reports and acceptance documentation.\nManage hardware products through factory acceptance testing (FAT), environmental qualification and verification activities.\nReview hardware designs for Design for Test (DFT) and Design for Manufacture (DFM) considerations.\nSupport EMI/EMC, vibration, shock and environmental qualification testing to relevant Defence and Military Standards.\nInvestigate test failures, perform root cause analysis and work with design teams to implement corrective actions.\nDevelop and maintain product structures and engineering data within ERP/PLM environments to support manufacturing, procurement and quality requirements.\nContribute to technical reviews, design verification reviews and customer acceptance activities.\nCollaborate with Systems, Electronics, Mechanical, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.\n\nAbout you\nYou are a practical and analytical engineer with a passion for testing complex hardware systems and delivering high-quality technical outcomes. You are comfortable working autonomously while collaborating effectively across engineering disciplines.\nYour skills and experience will include:\nExperience managing hardware products through verification, validation and factory acceptance testing activities.\nProven ability to develop test plans, procedures, reports and verification evidence for complex hardware systems.\nExperience testing electrical and electronic assemblies using formal engineering and test methodologies.\nStrong understanding of hardware integration, troubleshooting and fault investigation techniques.\nExperience supporting environmental qualification testing, including shock, vibration, temperature and humidity testing.\nKnowledge of EMI/EMC testing and compliance within Defence, aerospace, maritime or other highly regulated industries.\nAbility to interpret technical requirements, specifications, schematics and engineering documentation.\nExperience working within a structured engineering lifecycle and configuration-controlled environment.\nQualifications\nDegree qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related Engineering discipline.\nEligible for registration as a Professional Engineer in Australia.\nApplicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level.
