Co-Op, Contracts Summer 2027

Saab is seeking motivated and enthusiastic business, economics, law, or finance students interested in putting their studies into practice. This Co-Op/Internship opportunity is available at one of our East Syracuse, NY locations.

This assignment is for the Summer 2027 term (May through early August, full-time).

As part of the Contracts/Legal function, you will work with our Contracts Professionals to support the provision of products and services to our U.S. Government, commercial, and international customers as part of a larger program execution team.

Responsibilities:

• Review contract terms.
• Conduct pre-contract risk analysis.
• Assist with the administration of government, commercial, and international contracts.
• Participate in contract reviews and status meetings.
• Support contract closeout activities.
• Prepare and deliver presentations.
• Participate in team-building activities.
• Conduct legal and contractual research.
• Manage contract databases.

Compensation Range: $18.24 - $23.31 per hour

In addition to a competitive hourly rate, Saab, Inc. offers a sign-on bonus to offset housing expenses for Co-Op students residing outside the typical office commuting distance.

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Required Qualifications:

• Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program with a major in Business, Law, or a related discipline.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare, organize, and maintain contract records and files.
• Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
• Proactive communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Oracle, SharePoint, JIRA, or similar systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Citizenship Requirements:

Must be a U.S. citizen. Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
