The role is responsible for providing expert advice and support across a broad range of compliance matters, including global trade compliance, sanctions, ethics, anti-bribery and corruption, conflicts of interest, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will help ensure Saab maintains the highest standards of ethical and regulatory compliance while supporting strategic business outcomes.\nFurther, the successful candidate will:\nLead compliance activities for allocated programs, projects and business areas\nAct as a primary Ethics & Compliance contact and subject matter expert\nProvide advice on trade compliance, sanctions and ethics obligations\nConduct compliance audits, reviews and risk assessments\nDevelop and deliver compliance training across the organisation\nMonitor regulatory changes and implement associated process improvements\nSupport and mentor junior members of the Legal & Commercial team\nFlexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office, 9-day fortnight will be discussed after successful probation and discussions with the manager.\nAbout you\nYour skills and experience will include:\nExperience in compliance management within a complex or multi-jurisdiction organisation\nKnowledge of Australian and global trade regulations, including ITAR and EAR requirements\nUnderstanding of Australian Defence Industry procurement and contracting environments\nStrong stakeholder management and influencing skills across diverse business groups\nExperience interpreting and applying legislative and regulatory requirements\nTertiary qualifications in Law with admission to legal practice\nSouth Australian Legal Practising Certificate, or ability to obtain\nApplicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level.
