A technical subject matter expert in the radar development engineering field, Chief Engineers drive the processes that govern the technical management of projects across the organization and ensure strong development rigor is applied.\nResponsibilities include but not limited to:\nProvide technical oversight to the Surveillance products and program development\nLead non-advocate reviews, providing critical feedback on the design, integration and test plans.\nSupport the resolution of highly complex technical challenges with both Hardware and Software components\nProvide technical guidance and mentoring to the program and engineering teams\nLead key technical discussions with customers\nWorking with the organization to define technical roadmaps\nLead key technical activities to achieve organizational strategies and objectives\nCoordinate external technical interfaces\nCompensation Range: $165,700 - $223,800\nThe compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.\nSkills and Experience:\nBA/BS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) required, MS degree preferred\n20+ years of experience directly relevant experience in the DoD radar development field, including systems, software, mechanical, or electrical experience developing defense applications. \nDemonstrated experience understanding, interpreting, and communicating multidisciplinary technical concepts/issues to both technical and non-technical leadership\nDetailed understanding of the entire system development lifecycle and the interactions with various engineering disciplines, including system design, fabrication, integration, and testing\n10+ years of technical project management experience, including budget planning, schedule generation, and project monitoring\nExcellent problem-solving skills and strong, demonstrated analytical troubleshooting aptitude\nHighly effective communication and presentation skills, with strong competency in communicating to executive level stakeholders\nCitizenship Requirements:\nMust be a U.S. citizen.
