are hiring a Mid-level In-house Counsel for Saab Brasil!\nWe are looking for a legal generalist with strong experience in contracts and business acumen to take on a newly created mid-level role within our legal structure in Brazil.\nYou will work closely with our business teams, providing legal support for proposals, contracts and customer negotiations.\nLocation: São Paulo/SP, Brazil\nWork arrangement: Four days in the office and one day working from home per week.\nExpected start date: January 2027\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nSupport the entire contract lifecycle, from legal analysis and proposal preparation to negotiation and ongoing contract oversight.\nDraft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, participate in customer meetings and help develop solutions that meet business needs.\nSupport public procurement and tender processes, particularly opportunities involving the Armed Forces.\nIdentify legal risks and propose alternatives to protect the company’s legal interests and secure better contractual terms.\nAct as a trusted legal advisor to business teams and senior leadership, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.\nTake direct responsibility for compliance matters, supporting adherence to regulations, internal policies and ethical standards.\nSupport corporate, governance and other legal matters related to the business.\nCollaborate with different Saab teams in Brazil and abroad, with potential involvement in contracts and other matters related to the Gripen programme.\nHelp establish and improve local legal processes.\nREQUIREMENTS\nA degree in Law and active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB).\nSolid experience in reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.\nExperience in public contracts, public procurement and tender processes.\nStrong understanding of Brazilian public procurement legislation, including Law 14.133/2021.\nCommercial mindset and ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.\nFluency in English for meetings, negotiations, document review and interaction with the international legal team.\nA generalist legal background, with the ability to handle matters independently and recognise when specialist support is needed.\nStrong communication, negotiation and organizational skills, combined with business acumen.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience in the defense industry or in projects and contracts involving the Armed Forces.\nExperience working in international environments and with international agreements.\nSpanish language skills.\nA postgraduate qualification in Law.\nThis is an opportunity to help shape our local legal function and contribute to projects in an international defense and
